August 12 - Hunterton born, raised and sold Forbidden Trade wins second OSS Gold Series.
Hambletonian champion Forbidden Trade returned to Ontario Sires Stakes action at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Monday evening and pushed his lifetime earnings over $1 million with his second Gold Series win of the season. Congratulations to owner Serge Godin’s Determination Stable, trainer Luc Blais and driver Bob McClure.
August 10 - Hunterton's born, raised and sold, Livinonthedash was victorious in one of the feature NY Sire Stakes at Saratoga
Erv Miller’s Livinonthedash (Muscle Mass-Sunshine Glide-Master Glide) had one rival scratched so he ultimately started from post seven. The talented trotter came from well off the pace to win his previous start at Yonkers and got away last in his Saratoga debut on Saturday. Patient Marcus Miller piloting paid off and the super-sophomore came charging hard in the stretch to complete his last-to-first move, stopping the timer in 1:55.4 to be the fastest of the stakes winners on the card. Congratulations to owners Ervin Miller Stable Inc, New Egypt, NJ-David M Prushnok, Punxsutawney, PA-Tangie L Massey, Debary, FL, trainer Erv Miller and driver Marcus Miller.
August 3 - Hunterton born, raised and sold Forbidden Trade upsets in 94th Hambletonian.
Forbidden Trade, Canada’s champion 2-year-old showed the heart of a warrior to hold off 3-10 favorite Greenshoe by neck in a dramatic fight to the finish in the $1 million final on Saturday (Aug. 3).
And it was the first Hambletonian victory for the Canadian trio of owner Serge Godin’s Determination Stable, trainer Luc Blais and driver Bob McClure. Congratulations to all! August 3 - 'Hypnotic' Performance In Doherty Memorial.
A picture of perfection in four starts thus far, trotting Hunterton born, raised and sold filly Hypnotic AM dazzled in her biggest test to date -- the $310,700 James Doherty Memorial on 2019 Hambletonian Day at The Meadowlands.
The public choice at 3/5, Hypnotic AM settled away in fourth as Solsbury Hill (Scott Zeron) and Hello Tomorrow (David Miller) took turns on the lead through a :27.1 opening quarter. July 28 - Winnerup, Livinonthedash divide Yonkers’ $170,500 NYSS Milt Taylor Trot.
Winnerup (Trond Smedshammer, $5.80) and Hunterton born, raised and sold Livinonthedash (Marcus Miller, $2.20) proved best Saturday night (July 27), dividing Yonkers Raceway $170,500 New York Sire Stakes Milt Taylor Trot for 3-year-old colts and geldings. Congratulations to owners Ervin Miller Stable Inc, New Egypt, NJ-David M Prushnok, Punxsutawney, PA-Tangie L Massey, Debary, FL, trainer Erv Miller and driver Marcus Miller.
July 27 - Hunterton born, raised and sold Back Splash sets a new track record of 1:54 at Scioto Downs.
Back Splash took the first of the trotting contests — setting a new track record of 1:54 in the process for driver Aaron Merriman and trainer Chris Beaver. Owned by Beaver, Don Robinson, Steve Zeehandelar and RBH Ventures, the Triumphant Caviar filly left no doubt she was much the best as she finished 1-1/2 lengths in front of the hard-trying 3-5 choice and stablemate Pure Chance (Jason Thompson). Aunt Percilla was third at 9-1 with Danny Noble at the lines..
July 27 - Burke reaches 10,000-win plateau at Big M with Hunterton born, raised and sold Crucial.
In an elimination for the Jim Doherty Memorial for 2-year-old trotting fillies, Crucial, a daughter of Father Patrick-Jolene Jolene, gave Burke the victory that raised his lifetime win total to five figures by scoring in 1:54.3 and paying $6 for the stable’s go-to driver, Yannick Gingras. Congratulations to owners Burke Racing Stable Llc, Fredericktown, PA-W J Donovan- Jandt Silva Purnel & Libb, Delray Beach, FL- Weaver Bruscemi Llc, Canonsburg, PA, trainer Ron Burke and driver Yannick Gingras.
July 19 - Hunterton born, raised and sold, American Mercury wins at Vernon Downs in 1:49.4.
Trainer Chris Oakes swept both divisions of the NYSS as American Mercury (Tyler Buter) won the $59,800 second division. American Mercury ($2.90) took the lead just before hitting the first quarter. He controlled all the fractions (:26.4, :56.0, 1:23.3, 1:49.4). He is owned by Crawford Farms Racing, Northfork Racing Stable, Chris Pompey, and Scott Bice. Second Place finisher World On Edge (Matt Kakaley) tried to make a run in the stretch but never got close to American Mercury.
American Mercury is a 3-year-old gelding by American Ideal. He is five of his seven starts this season. He now has seven career victories but none faster than tonight’s 1:49.4.
July 19 - Burke, Gingras win three sire stakes at Harrah’s Philly Friday.
Trainer Ron Burke and driver Yannick Gingras victory was with the debutante Hunterton born, raised and sold, Crucial (Father Patrick-Jolene Jolene), who also raced on the lead, then was extended through the stretch by Word Of Honor. The latter popped out of the pocket at head stretch and fought hard only to miss by a nose, though Crucial was only under mild encouragement. The successful freshman, who had prepped with two winning qualifiers, is owned by much of the same team as Sister Sledge, Burke Racing Stable LLC and Weaver Bruscemi LLC, W J Donovan, and J&T Silva- Purnel & Libby.
July 17 - Hunterton born and raised, Hypnotic AM’s track record headliner of Yonkers’ $156,000 NYSS Hugh Grant Trot
Hypnotic AM took down the track record at Yonkers on Tuesday night with an impressive NYSS victory, driven by Brian Sears. For Hypnotic AM, a homebred Chapter Seven ma’am trained by Marcus Melander for owner Courant Inc., she’s started out 2-for-2 after another blowout NYSS win (in identical times).
July 13 - Hunterton born and raised Best In Show’s Meadowlands Pace upset caps dream week for Toscano
On Sunday evening (July 7), the trainer gave a gracious acceptance speech at her induction into the Harness Racing Hall of Fame in Goshen, N.Y., and on Saturday night (July 13), she stood in the winner’s circle after Best In Show pulled a 27-1 upset in the $682,650 Crawford Farms Meadowlands Pace.
In a thrilling finish, Best In Show slipped through an opening on the rail to defeat his more heralded rivals. He got up by a head over Bettor’s Wish, the brave first-over challenger who couldn’t have raced much better. July 3 - Fashion Hill breaks Buffalo mark in NYSS win
Hunterton raised, Fashion Hill took advantage of an unusual circumstance and it ended up helping her shatter the Buffalo Raceway 2-year-old filly pacing track record with a 1:55.3 victory in the first $54,000 division of the New York Sire Stakes on Wednesday night (July 3). She crushed the old standard of 1:56.2 established in 2016 by She’s A Billionair. Congratulations to owner Tom Hill, Hamilton, ON and trainer Chris Oakes and driver Tyler Buter.
July 2 - Sherry Lyns Lady trots National Season’s best 1:56 in PASS at the Meadows
Hunterton born, raised and sold, Sherry Lyns Lady quarter-poled to the front and triumphed easily in 1:56, fastest this year by a freshman filly trotter on a five-eighths-mile track, in Tuesday’s (July 2) $190,900 Pennsylvania Sires Stake at The Meadows. Congratulations to owner Coyote Wynd Farms, Vancouver, BC and trainer Jim Campbell and driver Tim Tetrick.
June 26 - Hunterton born, raised and sold Livinonthedash wins the $165,499 Dick McGuire Trot NYSS at Yonkers Raceway
For rank outsider Livinonthedash, a Muscle Mass colt (unraced at 2) co-owned by trainer Erv Miller, David Prushnok and Tangie Massey, it was his fifth win in nine seasonal starts. The exacta paid $74.50, the triple paid $560 and the superfecta paid $1,086.
June 24 - Forbidden Trade takes OSS Gold
In the first $107,200 division driver Bob McClure eased favourite Forbidden Trade away from Post 1 and was content to watch from seventh as Cool Clifford and Dream Nation battled to a :27.1 opening quarter. The favourites were still sitting seventh when Dream Nation hit the half in :56.3 and, although in the outer lane, they remained in seventh as the pacesetter reached the three-quarters in 1:25.
Once Forbidden Trade had a clear look at the wire however, the Kadabra colt shifted into another gear and reeled off a :26.3 final quarter, reaching the wire one and one-quarter lengths on top in 1:53.1.Congratulations to owner Determination and trainer Luc Blais and driver Bob McClure.
June 18 2019 - Fashion Hill fastest pacing filly at Harrah’s Philadelphia: 1:55.2!
The fastest of six races for pacing fillies was recorded in 1:55.2, a time achieved by the American Ideal – Taxi Fare Hanover miss Fashion Hill, who is a full sister to the developing star Turbo Hill. Hunterton raised, Fashion Hill and driver Andrew McCarthy raced on the engine and finished strong (:56.4 - :27.4) for trainer Robert Cleary and owner/breeder Tom Hill.
June 15 2019 - Breakfast with the Babies
Hunterton raised Trotting colts got underway in the seventh race at the Meadowlands where the camera could not separate a closing Hellbent For AM (Sears) and mile cutter Legion Of Honor (Andy McCarthy) as they crossed the wire, resulting in a dead heat in 1:56 / :27.3. Hellbent For AM is an Anders Strom via Courant Inc homebred trained in the Melander barn while Legion Of Honor was a $150,000 LSYS purchase by Mario Mazzafrom breeders Steve Stewart and John Carver with Lucas Wallin doing the training.
June 15 2019 - Hunterton born, raised,and sold - Pilot Discretion wins Goodtimes
Tony Alagna-trainee Pilot Discretion soared by a pair of dueling leaders to remain unbeaten in six starts with a 1:52.4 mile in the C$247,000 Goodtimes final on Saturday night (June 15) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Congratulations to owners Robert LeBlanc, David Anderson and John Fodera, Pilot Discretion has now earned C$164,500 from his six starts — two as a freshman and four as a sophomore.

June 5 2019 - Hunterton born, raised and sold, 'Mercury' Heats Up In NYSS
American Mercury ($6.50) overcame the outside post at the start, then overwhelmed Major March in the stretch to win the $118,800 New York Sire Stakes event for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings at Buffalo Raceway on Wednesday night (June 5). Congratulations to owners Crawford Farms, Northfork Racing Stable, Chuck Pompey and Scott Bice.
May 30 2019 - Hunterton born and raised Best In Show takes Toscano back to the main stage
Milton, ON — Trainer Linda Toscano is hoping she’s headed towards the top of harness racing’s “glamour boys” division as she sends out the morning-line favorite Best In Show - BETTOR'S DELIGHT - PUT On A Show p, 3, 1:50.3S ($84,163), owners Richard Young of Boca Raton, FL and Joanne Young of Coconut Creek, FL, in the second division of the C$160,000 Somebeachsomewhere Stakes on Saturday (June 1) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
May 27 2019 - Odds On Boca Raton is now perfect in two Stallion Series starts at Harrah’s Philadelphia
Driver Eric Carlson had another Stallion Series winner, this one part of a series training triple for Tony Alagna, Hunterton born, raised and sold, Odds On Boca Raton - CAPTAINTREACHEROUS - CAPTIVA ISLAND P, 3, 1:51.1F ($65,082), who is now perfect in two Stallion Series starts after a 1:52.1 victory. Odds On Boca Raton went right to the top and discouraged all other challengers, finishing a length to the good of Stienams Beach for Odds On Racing.
May 26 2019 - Leg 2 of NJSS completed at The Meadowlands
Hunterton raised, Mollydooker - GREAT VINTAGE - Fox VALLEY ZENA p, 2, 1:54.0M ($109,750) came out on top for driver Andrew McCarthy and trainer Tony Alagna. Mollydooker, daughter of Great Vintage, nosed out the competition in 1:57 with the last quarter in 29.4. Love Love Me Too was a close second with Hurrikanesky coming in third. Mollydooker is owned by Visionary Breeders LLC and has earned $69,750 for them, lifetime.
May 26 2019 - American Mercury wins a division of the NYSS at Saratoga Casino Hotel
There were three divisions of over $58,000 in stakes competition and trainer Chris Oakes and driver Tyler Buter stole the show. Buter won four consecutive races at one point on the card including three for Oakes. Two of their victories came in the “big time” Sire Stake races as Shake That House (American Ideal-Shake That Junk-Camluck) and American Mercury (American Ideal-Tessa Hanover-Somebeachsomewhere) scored impressive wins on the matinee card. May 25 2019 - Hunterton born and raised Best In Show wins OSS Gold division with a three-quarter lengths victory in 1:50.3
In the first division driver Bob McClure sent Best In Show to the front from post 6 and the colt cruised through fractions of :27, :55.3 and 1:23.2 on his way to a three-quarter lengths victory in 1:50.3. Bronx Seelster charged late but could not reel in the pacesetter and settled for second while favourite Stag Party was three lengths back in third. Congratulations to owners Richard Young of Boca Raton, FL and Joanne Young of Coconut Creek, FL.
May 19 2019 - Odds On Boca Raton wins a division of the Stallion Series at Pocono
Hunterton born, raised and sold, Captaintreacherous colt Odds On Boca Raton had the biggest win margin in the Stallion Series competition, coming home first by four lengths in 1:51.1 for driver Andrew McCarthy. The Tony Alagna trainee races for Odds On Racing.
May 18 2019 - In A Single Bound slides to Saratoga win
Racing from the pocket, In A Single Bound bolted through the open stretch to collar pacesetter Mar Nien A in 1:51.3 to take the $15,000 Open Pace on Saturday, May 18 at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
May 17 2019 - Hunterton born, raised and sold, Queen Of Trixs wins division of NJSS
The Lucas Wallin-trained Queen Of Trixs took the NJSS division in 1:55.4 for driver Andy McCarthy at odds of 6-1. Congratulations to owner, Mario T Mazza of New Hope, PA.
May 11 2019 - Yonkers - As Time Goes By wins a division of the $92,100 W.N. Reynolds Pace
Hunterton born, raised and sold, As Time Goes By went by tiring odds-on fave Art Lecture in a life-best 1:54.3, winning her $21,550 event. The Captaintreacherous miss is trained Julie Miller for co-owners Willow Oak Ranch and Andy Miller Stable.
May 7 2019 - Outburst sets standalone world record for an aged gelding on a half-mile track.
In the $16,000 Open Trot (Race 2), the Ron Burke-trained and Chris Page-driven Outburst flew to the top from Post 5, cut all the fractions (:27.1, :55.4, 1:24) and went on to post a three and a half-length victory in 1:53 for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC (of Fredericktown, PA) and Weaver Bruscemi LLC (Canonsburg, PA)..
April 29 2019 - Forbidden Trade Qualifies at Mohawk
Yonkers Racetrack regular Dan Dube, who has won more than 9,000 career races and driven his mounts to over $121 million in purse earnings, made the trek to Mohawk on Monday to get up behind Forbidden Trade.
Forbidden Trade took to the track for the second race on docket, which saw winds push the starters into the first turn and home through the stretch.

April 17 2019 - Goshen, NY — Hunterton Farm Mares to Living Horse Hall of Fame
The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame has announced the two broodmares that will be inducted into the Living Horse Hall of Fame on July 7 in Goshen, N.Y.
The Living Horse Hall of Fame Committee recently voted for broodmares using the criteria implemented in 2018. Eligible mares for consideration are producers of two Dan Patch Award winners, two millionaires or one Dan Patch and one millionaire, or those nominated by a committee member.
The committee members voted to elect Graceful Touch (She is currently owned by Steve Stewart, Black Creek Farm and Maumee River Stables) and Southwind Serena. She is currently owned by Steve Stewart, Black Creek Farm and Andrea Lea Racing Stables.

Feb 2 2019 - Hunterton Farm Breeder of 2 O'Brien Award winners
Forbidden Trade was voted Two-Year-Old Trotting Colt of the Year. The son of Kadabra won seven races and $300,000, including his Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final and four additional OSS events.
Older Pacing Mare honors went to Exhilarated, who started 44 times from January through December while winning 11 races and $211,000 in purse money. The Carmen Auciello trainee was a regular competitor in the Fillies and Mares Preferred ranks at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Muscle Diamond - Muscle HIll - Windylane Hanover 2012 , 6, 1:50.1M ($785,699) finishes 2nd also in the Preferred.

The United States Harness Writers announced the winners of the Breeder of the Year and Top Broodmares of the Year.
Southwind Serena, a Varenne mare owned by Steve Stewart, Black Creek Farm, and Andrea Lea Racing Stables Inc., was recognized because of the exploits of trotter Tactical Landing.
